The Ocean Key Resort

Hello, Just stayed here for Labor Day Weekend and was very disappointed. The front desk staff was extremely helpful, but other than that the experience was horrible. We checked in late (around 8pm Friday night) to find a freshly painted wall and dried pieces of the wall on the floor (had to request maintenance to come sweep it). Additionally, the handle came off the shower knob when used. We woke up Saturday morning to our bedroom flooded (apparently due to a room upstairs the night before but we were not notified about it at any point until we discovered it when stepping out of the bed in the morning). After the water was mopped up with towels and fans set up, we were told we would be assigned a new room. We went to the beach for a couple of hours only to return to find the room flooded yet again (causing damage to my work laptop) and soaking our remaining belongings. We were finally relocated into another room around 5/6pm for the duration of the stay. At no point was there an offer for a refund of any sort (partial or otherwise) despite the inconvenience of having to move all of our belongings and the water damage to our belongings. I think any of the negative reviews are way too picky. This place was amazing ESPECIALLY for the price. I had a King bed room last second for super cheap. The location! It was one row away from the oceanfront. Great location. The room contained a kitchen, a living room like entrance with a pull out couch (which also contained a dining room table) and its own TV, and a master bedroom with a TV. There was utensils and dishware, bathtub/shower. It was great. The room was very clean. I think being near the beach the only thing was sandy floors. And of course like most hotels especially at a budget price, they definitely don't deep clean so the curtains can have stains or stuff like that. But the general cleanliness of the items you need was great. I was very pleased. The staff was all so very friendly. They got pretty busy and only had one worker there at the front on Sunday evening during the Supergirl festival and she did an excellent job at being kind and hospitable under the busy pressure. I wish I got her name for this. The only downside is the walls are thin and if you have a louder neighbor in any direction you are bound to hear them. For the price, this place is great! Plu

I recently stayed at the Ocean Key Resort. While the building is a bit outdated and could use some updates, the room itself was very clean and absolutely comfortable. As someone recovering from a knee injury, I particularly appreciated the bathroom setup. The toilet and bath area were very convenient and accessible for someone with limited mobility. The location is wonderful and close to everything, and the staff was friendly. The only downside was the indoor pool, which is quite small and had a strong chlorine smell. Overall, it was a good stay, and I appreciated the cleanliness, location, and helpful layout of the room.
